A long story/explanation so please bear with while I explain my situation.
Last year, I got a Mobile Studio Pro (Model: DTH-W1320). When I received it, I was disappointed to find there wasn't an adapter cable like my pervious tablet had (Cintiq Companion 2). Fast forward about a year to me randomly searching stuff on the internet to find out that there is an adapter for the MSP to use it like a Cintiq. After some further research, I ended up getting the Wacom Link Adapter Plus (I must have misread descriptions) in May of this year. I start using it and it actually works fine till less than a month later it stops working. I contacted Wacom Customer Support and after some trouble shooting they said they would send me a new one (Note: I gave the my MSP model number and they still sent the Link Plus as a replacement).
Fast forward again to about 2-3 weeks ago when this adapter stopped working all the time till a couple days ago it crapped out completely. I yet again contacted customer support and they told me that the adapter I had (wacom link plus adapter) was not compatible with my MSP. After thinking through the statement and initial shock, I contacted them yet again because they then had recommended me the wrong product when they tried to replace it the first time.
Finally we are up to now with me finally having the proper adapter (Wacom link adapter) for the MSP. Only, its not working properly. I had my first issue when I opened the box and realized it only has a mini displayport connection. My computer only has VGA, HDMI, and Display port. I remembered I had a mini display port (male) to HDMI (female). Using this adapter did not work, so I assumed I would need the opposite and ended up getting Displayport (male) to mini displayport (female).
This is where my problem comes in. Using the Wacom Link with this adapter only partially works and turn my MSP into a Intuos type tablet instead of Cintiq. The display wont show anything and my computer does not detect another display. I've made sure both have the wacom drivers as well was windows 10 up to date but it still doesn't work.
What can I do to fix this?

Wacom Link not working with my Mobile Studio Pro
Re: Wacom Link not working with my Mobile Studio Pro
You only need a Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort adapter to get a video signal to the MobileStudio Pro. If you are not getting a image, then replace this cable / adapter.

Re: Wacom Link not working with my Mobile Studio Pro
All cables and adapters are 100% new. After research and updating drivers I got it working. The problem is now, is that my computer doesn't always recognize it as a 'cintiq' (meaning sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.)

My computer always recognizes my two monitors but not my MSP.

Re: Wacom Link not working with my Mobile Studio Pro
Even if they all the cables are brand new, they might still give you issues. The fact that your computer is detecting the the MSP as a display intermittently is a clear indicator.

Re: Wacom Link not working with my Mobile Studio Pro
I have now tried TWO NEW adapters with my NEW wacom link plus and neither of them help show the display. I cannot keep dropping money on adapters till I find one that works.
I'd like a solution to my problem that doesn't involve new adapters or calling Wacom Support to possibly get a new Wacom Link that I will have to wait even more time for.

Re: Wacom Link not working with my Mobile Studio Pro
The only other logical solution is to replace the Wacom Link. This is a Hardware connection issue. There is no other way around it.

Re: Wacom Link not working with my Mobile Studio Pro
Is there any way you (Wacom) could post a list of cables and adapters that do work with the Wacom link and MSP? I spent over $100 on many different brands of cables and adapters trying to get my MSP16 to connect. Nothing worked and I got tired of running to the store/ordering online and having to return items, so i gave up. Incredibly frustrating.
